Tim Culbertson is the Manager of Project Development for Columbia Basin Hydropower (CBHP). He started in that position in January of 2013. He has more than 49 years of executive management, power management and overall utility operations experience in west coast utilities.
An active player in the nation’s energy industry, Culbertson has testified before many Western State Commissions as well as Senate and Congressional Subcommittees on energy issues. He has served on the executive committees for the Large Public Power Council, Pacific Northwest Utilities Conference Committee and the Public Generating Pool.
In addition to national efforts, Culbertson has been heavily involved in Northwest energy issues. He has served as a member of the executive and energy committees at the Washington Public Utility Districts Association and has served on the regions Wind Integration Steering Committee. Culbertson in now actively involved in development of small conduit project in the Columbia Basin Project as well as a large pumped storage project referred to as Banks Lake Pumped Storage. CBHP has engaged Kleinschmidt and Associates as their consulting engineering firm along with Reed Consulting as part of the overall team.
