Stan Doehle is in his second term with the Regional District of East Kootenay as an Area Director. He has lived in Baynes Lake, beside the Koocanusa Reservoir, for 20 years.

Stan is the Vice Chair of the BC Columbia River Treaty Local Governments Committee, one of ten elected officials, and an appointed member of the Columbia Basin Regional Advisory Committee which has 30 members from the public, Indigenous Nations, local governments and Basin hydro operators. 

He has been working on Basin and local area issues related to the Colombia River Treaty since 2012.
