Karen Studarus, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Karen leads the Resilience Team in the Electricity Infrastructure Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). She joined the lab in 2014 as a senior power systems engineer. Her research includes power system flexibility, economics and resilience; hydropower operations; and distributed and renewable energy resources. Her work at PNNL includes GridPIQ – a web calculator to explore the impacts of grid projects in the interconnected grid. She is a member of the IEEE Power and Energy Society and has been a DOE Hydropower Research Foundation Fellow.
